The “DNA diet”, is founded on nutrigenomics which is the study of how food interacts with your genes. Studies says that matching of your nutrition to your DNA has been proven to work for nine out of 10 people. Me. Dietitian Sheela Seharawat at Diet Clinic clarifies that it’s true, if you choose foods that are appropriate to your genetic makeup then the susceptibility of getting disease may decrease and in turn the ability to perform will increase at your optimal genetic potential.
She says that every individual is different and so is their adaptability to food and what they eat. Say for e.g. Food A may rise the risk of certain disease in an individual, whereas, at the same time Food A is recommended to another individual to fight against the same disease.
